How Outline moves
Outline is kinetic typography: the lyrics are the hero and fill the frame. It sets them in centred lines, a phrase at a time. The words wipe on and fade out. As it plays, the word being sung fills with colour. They are set in hollow, outlined letters.
On the beat, and the finish
On the song's hits the frame punches in. A quiet song barely moves it; a drop hits hard. A spectrum wave moves with the music along the bottom. A title card opens the video before the first line and closes it after the last.
Your song in Outline
Every word is timed to the vocals, so each one moves when it is sung. Every Look in this style keeps these moves and brings its own picture, colours and type, in 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube and 1:1 for posts. Start from one of its Looks, or let the director design a new Look in this style for your song.
