Kinetune

Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

This policy explains what personal information 9433-8290 Québec inc. collects when you use Kinetune, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

9433-8290 Québec inc., the Québec company that operates Kinetune, is responsible for your personal information. You can reach the person in charge of the protection of personal information at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account: your name, email address, username and password (stored only as a hash), and your basic profile if you sign in with Google or GitHub.
  • Organizations: organization names, members, roles and invitations.
  • Your content: the songs, lyrics, cover art and artist photos you upload, your Looks, and the videos we render for you.
  • Usage and security: sign-in sessions with their IP address and browser, API keys (stored only as hashes), your credit ledger and order history, and server logs.
  • Billing: Paddle collects your payment details. We receive your Paddle customer ID, billing email, plan and purchase records, never your card number.

How we use it

We use your information to run Kinetune: to transcribe and analyse your songs, design Looks, render and deliver videos, keep your credits and billing, secure your account and prevent abuse, and send account emails such as verification, password resets and invitations.

We don't sell your personal information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't train our own AI models on your content.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the providers that run parts of Kinetune, and only what each needs:

  • Paddle: payments, sales tax, receipts and invoices, as our reseller and Merchant of Record.
  • Railway: hosting, database and file storage.
  • Cloudflare: domain and network.
  • Resend: account emails.
  • AI providers: Groq transcribes song audio; Vercel AI Gateway runs the language and vision models that design Looks; fal.ai makes AI images and video loops. They receive the audio, text and images a task needs, such as your cover or an artist photo used as a reference.
  • Google and GitHub: only if you sign in with them.

We search the Pexels stock library for backgrounds; no personal information is sent to it. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Where it's stored

Your information is stored and processed in the United States and in the other countries where our providers operate, so it may be handled outside Québec and Canada.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete songs, videos and Looks at any time. When you delete content or your account, we remove it from the live service, and it leaves our backups as they rotate. We keep the records that tax and accounting laws require; Paddle keeps its own billing records.

Cookies

Kinetune uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Paddle's checkout sets its own cookies when you open it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, to receive it in a portable format, or to withdraw a consent you gave us. Write to [email protected] from your account email. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or to the privacy authority where you live.

Children

Kinetune isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information about anyone under 16.

Changes

When we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change is material, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
