2026-10-29Clearer names for the music video steps

• ChangedThe docs, MCP tool titles and n8n operations call the two steps the lookbook (design_music_video_shoot, optional: outfits, places and props drawn as pictures) and the shot list (plan_music_video, free). Tool names, endpoints and fields are unchanged.

2026-10-28API v1 is stable

• Changed/api/v1 now only grows: new endpoints, optional fields and values arrive in v1 as they are, and anything that would break an integration is deprecated first, with Deprecation and Sunset headers, at least 180 days before it is removed.
• AddedMusic videos: takes ("cuts", the default, or "continuous") on music video plans, quotes and videos.
• AddedMusic video plans: shots[].transition, how each shot comes in from the one before (cut, dissolve, black, flash or whip; null for the first shot and one that continues), and shots[].continues.
• ChangedThe CLI (@kinetune/cli) and the n8n node (@kinetune/n8n-nodes-kinetune) are 1.0.0 and follow semantic versioning: a major version only for a breaking change.
• AddedEvery answer carries Kinetune-Api-Version: 1; a deprecated operation also answers with Deprecation, Sunset and a Link to this changelog.
• ChangedMusic videos are edited from shots cut between the song’s lines (no longer one continuous take by default); clips in quotes and plans counts those shots.

• AddedMusic videos: plan_music_video, get_music_video_plan, quote_music_video, create_music_video and swap_music_video_place (REST: /music-video-plans, /quotes, /videos with type "music-video"), from 15 seconds to 10 minutes of a song.
• AddedThe artist kit (/kit: outfits, places and props with @handles a brief can mention) and the lookbook (/music-video-lookbooks).
• Addedget_song_analysis lists parts, where a video can start and end without cutting a word, with min_seconds for the shortest part you need.

2026-10-27Community and the catalog

• Addedsuggest_idea (POST /ideas) suggests a feature on the Community board.
• ChangedPlan and credit pack prices and credits come from GET /options, set by Kinetune; quote before making a video rather than assuming a price.

2026-10-26Workspaces, plans and storage

• ChangedUploading and making videos need the workspace to have an active plan: without one they answer 402 with "code": "plan_required". Reading, renaming, archiving and deleting don’t.
• ChangedEach plan has a storage limit: an upload or video that would not fit answers 402 with "code": "storage_full" (GET /account has storage). Files are kept 90 days after a plan ends.
• ChangedA workspace is an artist’s or a label’s: POST /organizations takes a required type; update_organization (PATCH /organization) renames it or switches its type. In an artist workspace, artist_id may be left out of song uploads.
